1st International GVF Symposium 2026

The importance of methyl donors and one carbon metabolism for health and disease throughout the life course

This symposium spotlights three powerhouse nutrients – choline, vitamin K2, and ω-3-fatty acids – bringing them together in one focused, interdisciplinary conversation.

The aim is to strengthen GVF’s scientific network and create a space where academia and industry meet directly, accelerating ideas that can grow into real research collaborations.

Arrival by Air
Bergen is easily accessible via Bergen Airport (BGO – Flesland), which offers direct flights from many major European cities.
From the airport to the city center:

  • Taxi: approx. 20 minutes

Arrival by Train
Bergen is connected to Oslo by the scenic Bergen Railway (Bergensbanen), one of Europe’s most beautiful train routes.
Travel time from Oslo: approx. 6.5–7 hours

Arrival by Ferry
Bergen can also be reached by ferry:

From Denmark (Hirtshals) with Fjord Line
From northern Norway via coastal routes (Hurtigruten)
